Since taking over Dance Tunnel last Autumn, Ray’s Bar has been the only place I want to drink. The dingy basement in Dalston has been transformed into a cave of treasures with silver painted brick, groovy wallpaper, copper tables and sexy greenery.
It’s the perfect place for a mate date, with a super soundtrack from the in-house DJ and some real powerful cocktails to drink late on into the night.
The Labyrinth cocktail is one of the best, even if like me, you prefer your cocktails to taste like a packet of skittles, this strong flavour deserves a try. It’s not often that a place so perfectly put together requires no particular type of dress code. Come as you are or style to impress, with the dim light and candles on the tables it won’t matter too much anyway.
