Happy International Woman’s Day Everyone!
In honour of this fabulous day, I thought I’d use it to discuss girl-on-girl hate and why it needs to stop.
I’m no angel when it comes to this topic, but it’s something I’ve been thinking about a lot this week.
For me, it comes down to this: saying A’s ass is fat, isn’t going to make mine any smaller (sadly), by saying B is stupid, isn’t going to make me any more intelligent and by saying C’s irritating, isn’t going to make me any more tolerable.
It’s easy, especially with social media, to sit back and judge other women for their life choices or the way they look or how they socialise, but there is enough hate in the world.
It might sound a bit preachy, or like I want us all to bake cakes and move to the end of the rainbow (actually… could we?), but I’m not unrealistic, I just think we should try and think before we speak and just be nicer. Support other women for being who they are because it’s tough out there and together we can be strong.
Ok, I’m done now…
